Toni Palmer

Toni Palmer trained and began her career as a dancer. For 20 years, on and off, she worked for Danny La Rue. Her first leading role was Fings Ain't What They Used T'Be at the Garrick Theatre and other West End shows include Blitz, Streaming, Stepping Out, and Winnie. In Newcastle Toni has played in Pal Joey and Sweeney Todd, in Manchester in The Corn is Green and at Stratford East in many a pantomime, The Wicked World of Bel Ami and The Phantom of Th Opera. She now returns to play the role she created: Madam Giry.

Toni has recently been seen in the Royal Shakespeare Company, playing the Courtesan in A Comedy of Errors and comes to the Shaftesbury straight from a highly successful run in Ken Hill's The Invisible Man. Television started with The Rag Trade and includes, over the years, West End Tales, Only Fools and Horses, Up The Elelphant, Father Dear Father, Return of the Antelope, Rumpole of the Bailey, Bergerac, London's Burning and Never The Twain. Film appearances include The French Lieutenant's Woman, The Doctor and The Devils, Ellis Island and Personal Services.
